The Triad Decorative Painters of North Carolina was established with a steering committee of several original members. They were :

The ladies established our bylaws , established the duties of the officers and then came up with the slate of officers to serve the coming year. They were:

2nd Vice President- Marsha Johnson
Secretary- Pam Watson
Treasurer- Carol Jones
Newletter Editor- Sandi Cheek
Pulications Chairman - Jeanette Peace
Membership Chairman - Sandra Giffen
Paliamentarian/Advisor - Mary Ann Spainhour

We were granted our charter in Reno but requested to be presented with it when the Charlotte conference took place in 2002.

All members of the new chapter attended the conference to then be awarded our official charter as a sister chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters.

We have regular chapter meetings every two months starting each year in February. The meetings run from 9:00 AM until 12:00 NOON.
